Subject: Ultimate SFTP - Append?

The overview pages all over the internet list "Upload, download, append, rename and delete file." as the first line of the features list for Ultimate SFTP, but for the life of me I cannot find out how in the object or documentation to append a file on SFTP, other than rolling my own (check exist, download, append file, upload new file). Am I missing something, or is that feature missing?
