Hello,
I am working with one of our clients who are using CA SiteMinder version 12.  They seem to be having an issue handling the SAMLRequest that we're sending them.

Upon closer inspection of the AuthnRequest source code, I discovered that the XML string is encoded to UTF-8 and then converted to Base64.  The Oasis Open standard states that the original message need to be encoded in UTF-8, deflated as specified by RFC 1951 and then converted to Base64.

Are there any plans to support the deflation (RFC 1951) of the SAMLRequest XML string  in the near future?
