Progress event handler not executing after 2 initial calls until the file transfer completes?

This is with the SFTP component. I recently upgraded from the demo to the full product and now my Progress event handler is only raised at the beginning of the file transfer and when it completes. This behavior is different than the demo where it was raised every 3000 milliseconds as I set it to when initializing the component. Is there something that I need to change? ETA: The VS2008 SftpClient project doesn't work either.
